Movie Reviews
I always scratch my head when I go to a video store and wonder what to rent. Most of the time, it's something I watched before. The problem begins when I am halfway watching the show in the comfort of my own home, I suddenly remember what made the film so intolerably bad in the first place. That's the idea behind this page. A guide (for me at least) of the films that I've watched before, and my comments so I remember what the movie as about.
Hey, I'm no film student, but I think I can basically say what makes a good film, and what makes a bad film. However, some people feel that it is impossible to critique a movie objectively (is that an oxymoron?) since we all have our own tastes, and different upbringings, yadda, yadda, yadda. Well I say that that's not entirely true... after all some people must have thought Titanic was good, right? I mean, it wouldn't have been a mega-hit at the box-office (and won 10 Oscars) if people thought the movie was an iceberg smashing disaster.
So, by that convention and no one's invitation, I have decided to enter the world of film appreciation -- with the firm knowledge that I can't please everyone and that John Williams always uses crashing cymbals in his movie scores. Now, prepare to be amazed by the wonderful world of movies!!! (.... and my bad spelling)
